The choice you won’t regret.
You have decided your website needs an AI assistant. Now you have to choose a vendor you can see yourself with in two years. Here is our case.
Small agents, one job each.
One bot that tries to cover sales, support and search ends up with a tangle of instructions. It looks fine in a demo and lets you down with real visitors.
copadre works the other way round. You build several small agents, each with one job. A concierge reads what the visitor is asking and passes them to the right one, silently. No menus, no “press 2 for sales”. Each agent is easier to write, more accurate, and cheaper to run.
Agents that tell you when they can’t answer.
When a visitor asks something outside your agents’ knowledge, copadre catches it. The visitor gets the response you’ve written for exactly this situation, and the moment is highlighted in the conversation transcript.
Teach it what’s missing.
When you know what’s missing, simply edit your agents and add training and examples. The next time a tricky question gets asked, your agents will know how to answer.
See what every agent is costing you.
The usage dashboard shows a week or a month at a glance: how many messages your agents handled, how many tokens they used, how much of that came from cache, and how long conversations ran.
It is the page to look at before you change a model or switch caching on, so decisions can be based on real data, not guesswork. The same figures are available to Claude over MCP, so you can ask about them in conversation.
No tie-ins, no upsell.
You can use whichever CRM, CMS or marketing platform you want and copadre will play nicely with it. You can change your other platforms as often as you like without needing to rehome your agents. And, if you do decide to leave us, you can export your agents and save them to disk to take with you.
A chat your visitors can trust.
By default, copadre does not identify or track visitors. It sets no cookies, uses no advertising pixels and stores nothing in the browser.
If you need to know who you are talking to and your website already knows, because your visitors are logged in, then you can pass the agent their details so that conversations can easily be linked to your customer records.
Built and hosted in the UK.
copadre is built and run by This Company (Digital) Limited, a British software company. We have been building websites and digital tools for clients since 2001. We are Cyber Essentials certified, our hosting partner is too, and all data is held in the UK. Ask us a difficult question and you will hear back from one of the people who built the system.
Couldn’t we build this ourselves?
You could have a chat widget working with Claude by this afternoon. Then you would need:
- a chat widget that loads with one line of code and stores nothing in the visitor’s browser
- a domain lock, so your embed key works on your sites and nowhere else
- a concierge that routes each message to the right agent, with hand-backs between agents and a cap so a conversation can never loop
- an out-of-knowledge catch: the polite reply the visitor sees, and the event logged for you
- turn limits and abuse blocking, scoped so one visitor cannot block a shared office
- visitor messages sanitised, and every link an agent shares rewritten to your own domain
- a model choice and prompt caching per agent
- token accounting on every turn, and a usage dashboard by agent, by day and by source
- a notification pipeline with a queue, an outbox and per-event recipients
- a draft and a published version of every agent, a private preview chat, and a revision history
- import and export of agents as a single file
- multi-tenant workspaces with roles, and passwordless sign-in
- a remote MCP server with OAuth, so Claude or any MCP client can work with your agents under the same permissions as the portal
- encryption at rest for prompts, conversations and keys, and retention rules that clear what is no longer needed
- someone to keep all of it current as the models change
We have spent over a thousand developer hours making copadre good at what it does. Do you have that sort of time?
The questions people ask us first.
Will the AI make things up?
Not if you train it properly. An agent can be instructed to answer only from information you have given it, and when a question falls outside that it says so, politely.
How much will the AI cost us?
Anthropic bills you for the AI directly, at cost. For a small to medium website running general helper agents, budget $10 to $20 a month. Most sites spend a fraction of that. Your copadre subscription is a separate fixed fee, from £100 a month. Both are explained on the pricing page.
Why only Claude?
We think Claude is the best, and we want copadre to be the best. Businesses do not want a menu of model names that changes every month. They want something that works, from a supplier that they’ve heard of.
Who do we ask when something goes wrong?
The people who built it, through the helper in the app. We’re very approachable and we appreciate all feedback.
What does the free period include?
Every feature, for three months, on the 100-agent plan. We’ll get in touch before the trial ends to discuss moving you onto a paid plan.
Ten platforms, scored the same way.
We put copadre alongside nine of the best-known platforms for putting an AI assistant on a website, and scored all ten on the same criteria.
